The East Wake School of Health Science is proud to announce its second annual community engagement night, “Catastrophes.” The evening will spotlight student projects, from all curricular areas, that focus on preventing or better responding to catastrophes from around the globe. East Wake School of Health Science is a STEM school. This stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Students have integrated their understanding of these primary focuses of the school to produce the exhibits that will be on display throughout the school.
“Catastrophes” takes place on November 10, 2014 from 6-8 pm. The event will have an open house format and students will be available to discuss their projects. This should be an evening of discovery for all ages. There will be interactive activities for children and a green screen set up for guests to create souvenirs. The School of Health Science is excited to host the Engineering on the Road group from North Carolina State University. They will be leading guests through an interactive engineering activity during the event.
